Booking Terms and Conditions
Booking Procedure
A deposit will be required at point of booking.
You may secure your accommodation using a credit/debit card, the details of which may be used in the case of a late cancellation or damage to the property at the Guest House.
Alternatively, a cheque or other suitable form of payment can be used prior to guests’ arrival for the cost of agreed deposit.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations can be made 24 hours prior to arrival.
Deposits are non refundable.
If a guest needs to cancel during their stay we reserve the right to charge for the remainder of the period booked.
Liability
Guests’ liability for their account is not waived and guests agree to be held personally responsible in the event any indicated person, group, company or association fails to pay all or part of any damages incurred.
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, whether caused by deliberate, negligent or reckless act within the Guest House’s property or structure. Should this damage be discovered subsequent to guest’s departure, we reserve the right to charge for such damage on the guest’s credit/debit card.
Check in/Out Times
Arrival time is to be agreed at point of booking, but no later than 9.00pm unless by prior agreement. In the case of non arrival the price of the accommodation will be charged to your credit / debit card.
Check-out is by 10.00 am. Any extension to check out time, either pre-arranged or as a late departure, may incur a charge upon departure.
Luggage
At our discretion we will keep luggage after departure, but cannot take any responsibility for its loss or damage.
Smoking
Barrie House is a completely smoke free establishment. If a guest is found to have been smoking which has caused damage or rendered the room unusable then we reserve the right to charge the guest to make good the room and for any loss of revenue. This is in addition to the £50 statutory fine which is imposed for smoking in a public place.
