Access Statement

·                  All access is via the front up 3 stone steps 90cm wide/38cm deep/16cm high, no hand rail.  Followed by a path and then another 3 stone steps the same width, height and depth.  Then another step the same width, depth and height.  Lit at night.

·                  The front door is always locked but we have a bell-push on the front door.

·                  There is a vestibule, then a glass and wood front door.

·                  Wall and ceiling lights throughout, natural light in all areas.

·                 Hall seat.

·                  Colour contrast in all areas

·                  Tariff displayed in hall.

·                  Access to all floors is via staircase 89cm wide/26cm deep/18cm high.

·                  Access to all floors is via staircase 89cm wide/26cm deep/18cm high, 10 steps to short landing, 9 steps to first floor, banister handrail.

·                  Same to second floor.

·                  Stairs and landings are carpeted.

·                  Access to public are via carpeted staircase and landings with banister handrail.

·                  Fire alarms are non flashing, siren type, evacuation routes are signed and each room has evacuation procedures displayed.

·                  Residents lounge is downstairs via a carpeted staircase. (11 steps, landing and then one step).

·                  The Breakfast room has natural light plus wall and ceiling lights, wall to wall carpeting.

  .      No bedrooms are suitable for wheel chair users.

  .   En-suite bedrooms are wall to wall carpeted, uniform lighting and natural light. En-suites have vinyl floor covering.

·                  Colour TV’s are  remote operated and have Freeview.  Wi-fi access throughout the Guesthouse.

·                  The front garden which is laid to lawn is for guest use, there is a concrete path along the front of the house.
